About Us
Our Journey
In 1977 The Orlando family migrated to New York from Sicily bringing with them rich family recipes. They managed a successful restaurant in New York before deciding to relocate to sunny Palm Beach County. In 1984 the family opened Santana Pizza and Subs named after their daughters Santa and Anna. Customers still fondly recount stories of Mario & Mama and watching the girls grow up while at the pizzeria.
In 2003 the Orlandos retired and the Runarine/Branché family stepped in to fill this void. We thank God that we were warmly welcomed by our community at Cabana Colony. I still remember customers from the neighborhood coming to welcome us and offer their assistance -guys like Ed Kaczmarski, Steve Blanchard and Ted Plummer who are more like family to us with each passing year. We have watched their kids grow and they have watched ours.
We are blessed to have been planted here.
In 2019 after 2 years of deliberating, we opened our Jupiter pizza restaurant location and a new chapter began. Our son Matthew brings a fresh take on the cuisine, which he calls Florida Italian. He brings a renewed interest to Santana Restaurant Jupiter for Caribbean and Sicilian food and culture. He is discovering and refining almost lost family recipes to share with our guests. Jeanne-Marie our daughter having grown up in the restaurant business, is a communications, marketing, major and plays a significant role in our social media presence.
It’s a blessing to have customers who pray for and support us as we grow at Santana Restaurant Jupiter. Friends like Todd & Laura Shoemaker, The Blood Family and The Barnes Family among others who have extended kindness and hospitality in our neighborhood.
In this new decade we have a lot of great opportunities presenting itself, opportunities to grow and expand with our Jupiter pizza restaurant as well as to other neighborhoods North, South, and even abroad.
